    Ongoing:

    Parent/child relationships

    All of the marriages in our class - lift all of our marriages up in prayer to help keep them strong and safe from attack.

    New:
    Lourdes – Ken at home with a cold.

    Judy – having a procedure on Tuesday; Steve is having surgery Feb. 2nd; Carl is looking for a job; Jeff and Kathleen were in bad wreck with multiple injuries, they were released from hospital but still dealing with recovery and emotional pain (2 teenagers were killed in other car)

    Andrea – they have had a house for sale since they moved here 4 years ago; mother-in-law is doing well and making steps toward replacement of things lost in house fire.

    Caroline – had seizure and doctors didn’t think much about it but recommended an EEG. Got the EEG and results were not good, seizure activity was shown, they were sent to a neurologist and they are calling it Epilepsy. They will have to do a more thorough test in the hospital.

    Wendy – friend in troubled marriage, all appears fine to outsiders but Wendy witnessed a big fight and is one of the few people who know.

    Jana – friend with husband addicted to Loratab.

    Stephanie – lost a great uncle this week, WWII vet; grandfather is doing much better.

    Heidi – Logan’s surgery went well.

    February 5th - Souper Bowl Sunday Social/Luncheon – Immediately following church in the Blythe Equipping Room (soups can be dropped off before Sunday School) – Everyone has signed up to brings different soups and desserts. Bring the entire family! Always fun!

    Parent/child relationships

    New:
    Lourdes – friend who had surgery broke her foot, spirits low.

    Mike – Family who lost daughter in tornado.

    Jennifer – Family in Pilgrim’s Rest, headed to basement when tornado hit, un harmed, but it was a miracle.

    Buffy – Melanie Glover, Asst. Principal at Paine Primary lost her home along with 6 kindergarten families.

    Ken – sister still in a lot of pain, Reasha, thinks they have figured out cause of pain, now they are hopeful that something can be done.

    Judy – brother-in-law, Steve, has surgery on Feb. 2nd, Judy had a procedure last week and it showed good results from medication. They almost did the wrong procedure on her, luckily she asked questions and set them straight; Praise for Grace Champion – walking again, treatments are working!

    Dave – Amy’s parents lost home in April Tornado and they received damage on Monday. They are living with Dave and Amy until repairs are made.

    Danny – co-worker in Pilgrim’s Rest lost her home and was injured. She has a crushed foot and her husband has internal injuries; Chuck Towers, his cousin, was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was having a procedure and they damaged his lung and it collapsed, during all this they discovered cancer was in his ribs too.

    Bridgette – friend, Kim Gilmer, diagnosed with cancer last week.

    Lisa – mom was hospitalized last week due to dizziness, Dad was upset, decision made to put them in assisted living facility.

    Julie – Caroline’s test has been scheduled for Feb. 16th and 17th.

    New:
    Tornado Damage and Recovery

    Danny – friends in tornado; brother having surgery, rehab for 4 to 6 weeks.

    Jana – Jeff Pender, hurt in tornado, pulled out of house and thrown into neighbors yard, no support, unmarried, lives alone; friend’s husband addicted to Loratab, family did an intervention and he is now in rehab.

    Lourdes – Panama and unrest there

    Wendy – friend with marriage problems, things seem to be better, they are seeking help.

    Bridgette – Praise – Kim Gilmer, breast cancer was contained to breast and now she has to do 18 weeks of chemo and have surgery.

    Jeff – Rusty, chemo is not going well.

    Jennifer – Cathy Jarbo – brother in prison, granted parole and now he is in hospital with acute pancreatitis; Jarrod Robinson, Crohn’s disease and stage 4 cancer, 4 kids, wife is stay at home mom, he is planning his own funeral, going through a last resort chemo.

    Richard – Steve Turner, Judy’s brother in law, removed most of left lung, surgery was successful.

    Misty – uncle had mole on his ear, it was cancer and they had to remove a large part of his ear/lobe.

    Tim – Jason Wilson, early 40’s – stomach cancer.

    Dave – Amy’s parents moved back into their house.

    Stephanie – Rainey Hawkins, cousin, had a severe wreck has rod in neck, 16 and diabetic.

    April - Ray is having elbow surgery on Feb. 22nd.


    Announcements:
    Thanks to all of the wonderful cooks who brought soups and desserts to the Souper Bowl Sunday Luncheon. Fun was had by all and everyone left with full bellies  Thanks to Kim for organizing this always fun event!

    New:
    Misty – Praise! Eli was baptized today, along with many other kids from Team Impact.

    Richard – Judy’s brother-in-law, Steve, continuing treatment.

    Bridgette – student, Mason Daniel, lost his home to a house fire last week, they lost everything.

    Ray and April – surgery went well; long week of tryouts for Ansley this week and she will be driving in less than a month.

    Mike – they are still trying to adopt but 6 more families are needed to complete a group in order to be able to adopt.

    Julie – Caroline appears to be tolerating her medications well and seems to be handling her condition well.

    Troops in Afghanistan

    Snuggs Family got good news this week.

    Ken – brother’s wife has gotten some good medication and has had a good few weeks.

    Brantley - Andy was diagnosed with shingles last week, very painful.

    April – Praise for Ansley making Color Guard; please pray for upcoming week for her too.

    Jana – Jeff released to go to work after tornado injuries; not rebuilding.

    Jeff – Rusty Dole, brother in law, not doing well; colon cancer.

    The little girl that was found in field, tornado injuries, lost her entire family in the storm.

    Ken – Lourdes has a mass on right ovary, going on Thursday to gynecologist.

    Lourdes – things are going well for her cousin.

    Julie – Caroline has an appointment with neurologist on Monday.

    Don – Business people using unprofessional tactics in meetings, practices, etc.

    Bart – the above statement from Don also applies to media.

    Jerry – his company is giving him an opportunity to go to school.
